The University of British Columbia (UBC) is a leading international research university home to more than 9,000 graduate students and more than 800 postdoctoral fellows. It is a comprehensive university providing internationally recognized expertise and facilities in most areas of scientific endeavor including dairy cattle research.
A primary role of the UBC Dairy Education and Research Centre is education of MSc and PhD students through UBC’s Animal Science Graduate Program. The Dairy Centre’s recently developed experimental animal research facilities are second-to-none. The Centre has a large research herd that can provide sufficient numbers of experimental animals at a given physiological stage to meet most research requirements. These features support a vibrant critical mass of students, postdoctoral fellows, staff, visiting scientists, and faculty.
Potential graduate students are encouraged to directly contact faculty members or adjunct professors listed on our directory. Graduates can also find information on websites for the Applied Animal Biology Graduate Program and the UBC Faculty of Graduate Studies.
